Well it might be more possible if you can already prove your monthly rent payment (I assume you renting) is 35% or more of your take home pay. If you can pay the rent which is not tax deductible, then you can pay the mortgage, property taxes and insurance too if they are the same percentage as your rent.

The longer you have been doing the above the better.

In other words, how much mortgage can you qualify for? Go get preapproved with a lender - then you'll know. It will fluctuate along with interest rates.

Can you rob a bank and not have to worry about being pursued and prosecuted ?
As to staying in the house, it all depends upon the creditor and how bad they want the property back.
I have heard of people living in a shack for years and the creditor did nothing. I also KNOW people that were booted out, stuff on the curb, in 30 days.
The property tax is usually tied to the mortgage. They pay that every year as part of your payments.
If that was not included and you were personally by name being held responsible, then expect that registered letter or knock on the door in the future.
Sorry, that's just the way it is.

If you mean can they collect after they take the house back, it depends on whether the mortgage is the original one used to purchase the property or a refinance. If the former, it is my understanding they cannot come back on you after foreclosure. If the latter, yes, you are liable.

depends on your credit - best way to do it is to talk to a bank, a credit union would be good - the higher your credit score, the lower your rate - but that also depends on other things, like length of credit history, amount of credit...

I am not sure how you can have good credit and a fico so low.

But, yes, it effects your available rate.
